It wasn’t that long ago when the pumpkin spice was relegated to just making an appearance in a pie on Thanksgiving. With every delicious bite of that bite, you probably wondered, “Why don’t we have pumpkin pie more often?” Starbucks picked up on that sentiment and began offering the PSL or Pumpkin Spice Latte back in 2003. It took a few seasons to become as popular as their winter Peppermint Mocha. Now when Starbucks puts out the PSL for the year, it seems like it unleashes a floodgate of pumpkin-spiced treats. Every year, more companies jump on the pumpkin bandwagon to add the spice to their popular brands.

Boar’s Head has a pumpkin pie flavored hummus that they want you to pair with graham crackers, bread or even just scooping it up with a spoon. Supposedly, it tastes just like a pumpkin pie but without the crust.

Adding pumpkin spice to ice cream seems like a no-brainer. Halo Top is out of the gate with their version of low-calorie ice cream with a bold pumpkin flavor. They also make a version in non-dairy and vegan varieties. That means everyone can enjoy the ice cream.
